FIELD FABRICATION FOR TANKS THAT WON’T FIT THROUGH THE DOOR
Most Watson tanks are built in our Springfield, Missouri, shop, which handles vessels up to 180 inches in diameter and 70,000 gallons in capacity. Above that, or when a tank has to go into an existing building, the work moves to your site. Our field crews roll, fit, and weld the tank in place, test it, and leave it ready for your process, with minimal disruption to the rest of your plant.
Field work is planned the same way shop work is. You approve the drawings before we mobilize, and we agree on site conditions up front: an unloading area within reach of the erection site, 220/480-volt three-phase power, water for testing, and a finished foundation ready for our arrival. We put all of it in writing before we mobilize, so there are no surprises on either side.
FIELD SERVICE ON TANKS WE BUILT AND TANKS WE DIDN’T
The same crews handle field repair and service: wellness inspections on any manufacturer’s tank, agitator installations, jacket replacement, nozzle and connection changes, and on-site ASME R-stamp repairs, all while keeping your vessel out of service no longer than necessary.
